(iphone blogging failed..)
Anywho, 0.3.4 was just released, so check it out now. The big deal is that ssl support is now internalized. Key are generated when they are needed, and stored in such a way that should be forward compatible with all future versions of contempt. The trust model is similar to that of ssh, relying on fingerprint storage rather than a global CA etc, so relationships are decentralized. Right now no client authentication is being done, so it's about as secure as a clear socket, but the basics are in place and I will be adding verification in the next release.

Contempt also now has a fancy tray icon, so you can minimize it to the tray when you don't need it. I also fixed the dumb bug where the local network visual was just anchoring some random node. It now properly anchors the gateway. Have fun!piercehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17727474475888978419noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8050630074605556571.post-71897275749325151852008-09-10T20:45:00.000-07:002008-09-10T20:48:56.590-07:00toorcon + actual releaseGood news everyone! This will be the first public showing of contempt actually doing something useful, so I am pretty excited. It will also be fun to see the MIT campus.piercehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17727474475888978419noreply@blogger.com0
